As of October 1st, 2023 - NW Ringette accepts valid Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (PIC VS) for a validity period of 3 years as per Ringette Alberta policy 19.0. A valid PIC VS must not expire during a playing season.
All team staff as well as anyone who is interacting regularly with athletes. This includes:
Junior Coaches under the age of 18 do NOT require a PIC VS

As soon as you become a volunteer on a team: Email security@nwringette.com to
begin the PIC VS process.
October 1st : Submit your PIC VS application to the appropriate authority no later than
October 1st of the current playing season.
November 1st : Submit your valid PIC VS to NW Ringette at security@nwringette.com
no later than November 1st of current playing season.
NW Ringette will reimburse application fees if the application process is followed, and a
CPS voucher is used for the application.
Email security@nwringette.com for the applicable volunteer letter for your team role.

Log in to your CPS on-line account to save and share your PIC VS results with NW Ringette at security@nwringette.com
If you have a valid PIC VS from another agency (school, sport or other) please email a copy of the completed check to security@nwringette.com for approval as per NW Ringette Screening Policy.
*Failure to follow NW Ringette Screening Policy could result in your removal from the official Team Roster by Ringette Alberta.
